It began, as most acts of violence do, with silence.

Five players. One corner. The Mezzanine level of the Underside Mall Lobby — a structure that, until that evening, had known nothing but the quiet hum of the cold Minecraft night and the distant screech of Phantoms. They had gathered peacefully, sitting on stairs in the way that players do when there is nowhere particular to be. No words. No warning signs. No indication that what was about to unfold would shatter the calm of that lobby forever.

Then — contact.

Zaprite, the player behind the dragon head, struck first. Or perhaps he didn't. In the heat of the moment, in the blur of bodies and the sudden collapse of civility, the sequence of events became impossible to trace. What is known is this: at some point, a fist connected with asoundguy. Then Skyphia. Then WeepingStones. Then Mosh. One after another, in rapid, almost methodical succession, as though the dragon head itself had made the decision before its wearer ever could.

Before Zaprite could fully process what was happening, he was already deep inside a brawl he could not explain. No alliances. No teams. No honor code. The Mezzanine, designed for leisure and community, had become a warzone in the span of a heartbeat. It was every player for themselves.

And then, through the chaos, a familiar figure stepped into the fray.

The very same player who, mere minutes before, had been leading this exact group on a good-natured tour of the old spawns. A man of infrastructure. A man of community. A supreme leader. The architect of the very subway system that had brought these five players together under one roof. And yet there he was, on the other side of the spruce fence, throwing punches at anyone he can reach. Zaprite, operating on pure instinct at this point, turned and punched him too.

And then the sky answered.

A bolt of lightning split the air above the Mezzanine, striking the brawlers where they stood. Two names circulated in the aftermath. The one who quite possible commanded smite upon everyone. Turtle, the server owner, present and accounted for. asoundguy, a moderator, equally capable. Neither confirmed. Neither denied. The bolt came and went like everything else that night, without explanation.

Whether Turtle arrived as a peacekeeper and was swallowed by the violence, or whether something older and more primal took hold of him in that moment, no one can say. He was there. And then, just as quickly, he was gone.

The brawl ran its course. No moderator intervened. No authority descended from above. The violence simply exhausted itself, the way all fires do when there is nothing left to consume. Five players walked away. Not a single casualty. Not a single item lost.

The Underside Mall Lobby stood as it always had. Still. Waiting.

But those who were present on the night of the 20th of May know what happened in that corner of the Mezzanine. They were there when five peaceful players became something else entirely, if only for a moment.

The origin of the brawl was never confirmed.

Eggman244, often referred to as Egg, is a well-known player on Ironclad Vanilla recognized for his transformation from a reckless rule-breaker into a respected community contributor. Eggman244 joined Ironclad Vanilla and quickly became known for his bold and sometimes reckless behavior. In his early days, he often acted without thinking, gaining a reputation as a “criminal” figure within the server.

Despite this, he was active and engaged, forming connections with other players and beginning what would eventually become his larger influence on the server.

Eggman244, often referred to as Egg, is a well-known player on Ironclad Vanilla recognized for his transformation from a reckless rule-breaker into a respected community contributor. Once known for his criminal nature, Egg has since grown into a more thoughtful and dedicated player, earning recognition for his creativity, and commitment to the server.

He is the founder of the Eggpire, a group that provided new players with structure, guidance, and a sense of belonging. Over time, Egg has shifted his focus from control and conflict to community building, history preservation, and server development.

=== Early Days ===
Eggman244 joined Ironclad Vanilla and quickly became known for his bold and sometimes reckless behavior. In his early days, he often acted without thinking, gaining a reputation as a “criminal” figure within the server.

Despite this, he was active and engaged, forming connections with other players and beginning what would eventually become his larger influence on the server.

=== Notable Events ===
One of the biggest turning points in Egg’s journey was a major court case, which forced him to reflect on his actions and role within the community. This event marked the beginning of his transformation from a chaotic player into a more mature and responsible figure.

Egg founded the Eggpire, creating a group that gave players a home and a leader to follow. The Eggpire became an important part of the server’s community, especially for newer players.

In time, Egg made the decision to pass on leadership of the Eggpire to Guzzlordplayz, showing significant growth and trust in others.

Egg later acquired ownership of the HillCrest Casino, where he successfully revitalized the space and turned it into a fun and active destination for players.

He also began working alongside Skolve and Turtle to help develop the Ironclad Museum, contributing to the preservation of the server’s history.

Additionally, Egg has played a role in assisting with the developing of many pages on the Ironclad Wiki, working with Clearpixels to improve documentation of the servers history.

== What is a Spawn? ==

All Minecraft servers have a spawn, typically they are a relatively small central hub location. Usually displaying server info and providing access to certain server features. However, on Ironclad Vanilla, a spawn has a unique spin to it. It aims to provide all of the standard spawn features a player would expect all while being completely community-built. Players get to design, shape, and construct their own spawn. Giving every generation of players a chance to have a lasting impact on the server. Spawns are designed to be welcoming, useful, and a showcase of our build style.

== Origin ==
The first spawn we had, now known as Riverside, for the first few months of the server was generally referred to as "Spawn Town" or "Ironclad Town". In the beginning Turtle had this idea of creating a mega metropolis of a spawn town. He envisioned dozens upon dozens of players all working together to create a semi functioning city within Minecraft. Player created shops, government controlled services such as a courthouse, post office, trading post, bank, server storage, and various public farms, games, amenities, art installations. Spawn town grew fast upon launch. Settled on top of a naturally generated village, it was quickly turning into something unique. It was going better than expected at this stage. Soon after various rules and restrictions began being put in place to prevent Spawn Town from turning into a wasteland of misc various staged builds from our early influx of players. This took Spawn Town to a completely new level. A standard path type was established, what would become the standard across multiple spawns. He had no intention of moving the spawn point from its current central location.

== Purpose ==
* Give new players a safe, clear place to start
* Encourage exploration, trading, and collaboration
* Highlight community building projects
* Keep the world fresh by occasionally rotating to a new spawn

== How rotation works ==
* The current spawn gets filled in and there isn't room for expansion within reasonable distance.
* A new generation of players has joined the server ready to make their mark on a new spawn.
* Admins will choose a new location for the next spawn.
* The community moves to the new spawn ready to build new shops and government structures.

* Respect shared spaces and posted build rules
* Avoid laggy contraptions in the central district
* Keep signage and paths clear for new players
